The Voice of Hibakusha - Eyewitness accounts of Hiroshima bombing

Random fire tornadoes, walls melting in brilliant colors, people desperately drinking black rain drops, a boy who crawled home to his mother because the soles of his feet were the only part burnt, the rapid appearance of maggots in wounds – it sounds like some twisted acid trip; much more chaotic then it appears from a distance.

These "Voice of Hibakusha" eyewitness accounts of the bombing of Hiroshima are from the program HIROSHIMA WITNESS produced by the Hiroshima Peace Cultural Center and NHK, the public broadcasting company of Japan. The individual accounts were input and translated into english by college students.
